Shall We Dance

Poem

Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?

We waltz through the purple haze
his eyes frightening yet tantalizing

Caught in an unspeakable trance
that’s so inviting

He dazzled me while invading my
thoughts with love stories untold

Hands intertwined
as our bodies became one mold

Held in captivity stimulated
by curiosity

Trying to resist the reality
that’s before me

The dark one has a strong
hold on me–I’m bound

Fading in and out

I subconsciously yielded to
his wants and desires

We slowly disappear
into the purple haze
heading towards the pale moonlight
