Scientists have found a way to store energy in simple red bricks that we use to build houses. Researchers in Washington University have developed a way to for cheap and widely found materials, and turn them into “smart bricks”, that can store energy. They’ve found a way to turn red bricks into a supercapacitor, a type of energy storage device. Imagine that!

Scientists in the UK have developed a ‘smart needle’ which could speed up cancer detection and diagnose time. Researchers believe that the smart needle can be helpful in detecting lymphoma, which can help patients reduce the anxiety of waiting for the results.

You might have already heard about self-driving driving cars, however self-driving trucks might be a thing. They’ll be cheaper to run, drive more smoothly, and less fuel. The thing is, they don’t need breaks, they can run longer routes. Companies like Mercedes and Peloton are looking into these possibilities.

There are more intriguing technologies that might appear in the next ten or twenty years. I can’t wait for what the future holds!
